WHAT IS FAMILY GUY?
Family Guy is an American animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company that first aired on January 31, 1999. The show revolves around the adventures of the Griffin family. Peter, Lois, Meg, Chris, Brian, Stewie, Quagmire, Cleveland, and Joe are the main recurring characters of the show. The show occurs in a wacky & fictional town in Rhode Island called Quahog. Most of the show's humor comes from stereotypes and cutaway gags that often lampoon American culture. The show has been nominated for numerous Emmy awards and has attracted controversy for its writing. A typical episode of Family Guy is around 21 minutes long. Currently, there are 21 seasons and almost 400 episodes of Family Guy.
HISTORY
Family Guy first premiered after the Fox broadcast of the Super Bowl XXXIII to an audience of 22 million people on January 31, 1999, and soon garnered controversy surrounding its adult content. From 1999 to 2002, the show's time slots changed numerous times, from Sundays to Thursdays to Tuesdays. However, the show was officially canceled shortly after in 2002 but was revived in 2005 because of high ratings and DVD sales. Since then, the series has seriously declined in popularity, from an average of 7+ million viewers during season 4 to fewer than two million watchers in season 20.
STATISTICS
Family Guy is the 5th longest-running American primetime TV series, airing from 1999 to 2002 and again from 2005 to the present, with about 400 episodes. The show has slowly but steadily dropped in popularity and quality, as shown by its ratings on IMDB and other websites. The ratings for Family Guy are around 7.5 / 10, with average episodes rated about 7.2 / 10. One of the lowest-rated episodes, the season 12 episode "Life of Brian," has a rating of 4.2 / 10, and higher-rated episodes, e.g., "Road to-" episodes, are around 8.0 / 10. There are over 3,000 cutaways in the show, equaling about 14 hours.
CHARACTERS
Family Guy has a lot of characters, from Stewie to Mayor West to the dumb beaver and all in between. Family Guy also has a wide range of characters, from African Americans to animals to celebrities to the deceased, as seen here. Family Guy has had many characters come and go, and numerous guests (celebrities) star on the show, too. Some characters are minor and only appear in one or two episodes, some show up more, and some are prominent characters of the show and appear in almost every episode, like Chris or Brian.

DID YOU KNOW...
...that the Griffin family's phone number is 555-666-0112, as seen in the episodes where Lois goes to a jewelry store and when Peter gets arrested? "555" isn't an actual area code in the U.S. because it has been used in TV shows and movies since the 1960s to prevent curious callers from bothering telephone subscribers and organizations.

ABOUT ME
Hi. I am Inferno, and I have been creating on YouTube since 2018. I started watching Family Guy one day on television in 2017. Since then, I have always enjoyed watching and learning more about Family Guy, and, sometimes, I share the humorous jokes and entertainment I encounter. I value Family Guy so much that now I create videos and YouTube shorts on it. I started doing this in March 2020, when most of the United States was undergoing a lockdown and made the first video I cherish on the animated sitcom. In total, I have achieved:
- Over 4 million views (mostly on my recent compilation videos).
- Five thousand subscribers and counting.
- Hundreds of thousands of watch hours (enough to get monetized).
